Artemio Rodríguez Artemio Rodríguez was born in 1972 in Tacámbaro, Michoacán, México. In 1994, he moved to Los Angeles where he began devoting himself fulltime to the art of printmaking. A self-taught artist, he focuses on the centuries-old traditions of printmaking-woodcut and linocut-fixating on a piece until something unique and wonderful is created. His work has been published in over eleven books-fine art and commercial editions. He has exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain. In 2001, he co-founded La Mano Press, a printmaking studio dedicated to publishing limited-edition prints and fine art books. Currently, he is publishing a ten-year retrospective of his work through La Mano Press in collaboration with Editorial RM in Mexico. Back to Artist Listings
